I am a horse lover and owner. Being a
rider, I've always admired the grace and beauty of the Lipizzan Stallions.
Nothing shows their power like the airs above the ground. This painting
portrays one of these, the Mezair, where the horse rears and moves forward
while striking out with his forelegs. I wanted to capture the power and drama
of this move. I hope the viewer will feel these emotions too.
