If Wishes Were Horses

When I saw these two girls reaching out to pet the large stallion, I was reminded of myself at their age. Anytime I could get near a horse, I was in awe and just wanted to love on the animal. I hope I have conveyed these feelings in my painting. At their age, if wishes were horses, I would have had a large stable. I chose oil on high quality linen since this is my favorite medium. I used the technique of glazing over a base painting to allow the colors and highlights to really stand out. The dimensions do not include the beautiful, antique frame included in the price.
